It’s always exciting to watch a young brand grow, particularly so if you know the hearts and minds behind the creative dream. Cape Town-based fashion design studio Margot Molyneux has recently opened its first store; a chic, elegantly finished boutique at 69 Roeland Street, Cape Town.
Best known for its classic styling, the new space complements the clothing label’s feminine silhouettes. ‘We’re thrilled to have opened the doors of our first brand store,’ says Margot Molyneux, founder and head designer. ‘After months of planning and preparation, it’s been wonderful to reveal the finished product, and we’ve had an incredible response from our loyal customers, as well as the new ones who’ve visited us.’
The store’s interior, designed in collaboration with the team at Framework, features exquisite Art Deco detailing and a delicate colour palette of soft pink, fern green and classic white. ‘We’ve put as much thought into our new store as we do into each of the garments we create. Our aim was to create a beautiful boutique space where our customers would feel at home, and where they could browse and try on pieces from our collections,’ shares Margot. A big congrats to Margot, Grethe, Marlon and team on the materialisation of a dream.
